WOOHOO Wednesday

WooHoo it is Wednesday


Breakfast; an orange and egg scrambled with peppers,onions, mushrooms in a bit of olive oil











Packed lunch box; starting at the top left corner and going clockwise:  turkey bacon , an orange, veggie soup with lamb, lentils,quinoa , grapes in front of the  soup mug, raw veggies,tuna salad, ham, an apple, walnuts and pumpkin seeds, an egg and a banana .







Corned beef on a flax seed bun 











Dinner was
Leftover turkey breast sauteed in a bit of olive oil ( I am still dairy free so not butter ) with celery,onion ,cauliflower  and stuffing spices and also a baked sweet potato .

Terrific Tuesday

Terrific Tuesday ,,
Monday was a bit complicated by car trouble but over all a pretty good day :)



Breakfast today was
 an egg scrambled with zucchini ,summer squash,onions,peppers and bok choy in a bit of olive oil with and orange on the side .














Packing my lunch box just got more complicated ( as if I need more food complications  ,lol )
Looks like dairy ( have I expressed how much I LOVE dairy ) is messing with my blood sugar levels :( so I am off dairy for awhile to see if that makes a difference in my levels .
so my  non dairy :( lunch box  contains
veggie soup with lamb,lentils and quinoa, tuna salad, munchy veggies, an apple,banana,grapes, pumpkin seeds,walnuts ,  a hard boiled egg ,,, also turkey bacon and an orange for morning break
 









Home at a decent hour today ( canceled my workout)
so a flax seed bun with corned beef and some blueberries
to hold me over while I catch up on some things










Trying to think of something to do with plain
turkey  breast (maybe something with onions and celery and some poultry seasoning ) ,, I mean it is just so dry and
 well plain ,,,,,,
anyway

dinner was plain turkey  breast and a baked sweet
potato












Todays totals :
calories 1581, carbs 178g, protein 97g...
 A good day overall , my blood sugar was in a ( kinda) ok range today :)

Happy Monday

Yep ,, it is Monday  again ,lol

Start weight 256 , todays weight 169.8  -  86.2 pounds (( grinning ))
This number has taken a  very long time to get to  so I am good with it this Monday morning  :)




I am not sure what my goal is ,,,( thinking about 145),,,

Breakfast was egg,bok choy,peppers,
onions scrambled in a bit of olive oil
and half an orange. And coffee














This is as I packed my cooler for work,,
starting at the top left ;2 pieces of turkey bacon ,half an orange, Mug of soup( with lamb,quinoa,lentils and lots of veggies )  for lunch, bag of free veggies ( carrots, celery, red pepper slices ,cucumber and grape tomatoes ) ,
cottage cheese,grapes , broccoli and cauliflower,
walnuts and pumpkin seeds  , an apple and cheddar cheese ,a hard boiled egg and half a banana, greek yogurt with blueberries.

Dinner was
Ham and a baked  sweet potato with some cherries for desert  ,,, no picture :( car trouble on the way home tonight put me about an hour behind  ,, still trying to catch up .

Hypoglycemia sucks !!

Hypoglycemia  sucks!!!
I have always had trouble with my blood sugar dropping to very low levels, but since I quit eating refined sugar it is more noticeable. Apparently before I quit eating refined sugar , if my blood sugar was low I would  just pop a piece of candy (or doughnuts ,lol)    Now I have to be so very careful about what I eat and when. The mornings SUCK.  Sometimes ( most mornings lately ) if my blood sugar is very low I will wake up (very early sometimes) and  I wake up shaky .I need food immediately. Makes loosing weight a tad bit more complicated ( understatement )  
So I am awake and eating a 3;30 am,,,,,, Is is going to be a very long day

rutabaga,onions,carrots and corned beef ,, and an
egg











snack , greek yogurt with cherries














.lunch was , black beans,ground turkey,tomatoes
,peppers,onions, taco spices , cheddar cheese and
sour cream . This is a high calorie splurge meal for me.( the cheese and sour cream are the high calorie splurge part )










afternoon snack, cottage cheese and peaches

and of course some munchy  veggies and walnuts












hard boiled egg and half a banana  and veggies















Dinner was a mug of soup,, not a great as the last batch
but pretty darn good anyway :)

A great good morining :)

It is Saturday and we got  more snow last night,,,, come on spring ,, hurry please :)
So todays question  is :: can you eat to many non starchy vegetables ??
Breakfast was




breakfast scramble  ( shredded rutabaga ,peppers,onions,egg and bacon ) and an orange









Morning snack

blueberries and greek yogurt , some cherry tomatoes and red pepper slices






lite lunch ( before shopping yeah! )
cheddar cheese, mac apple, cherry tomatoes and red pepper slices
afternoon snack
cottage cheese and peaches with a side of normandy vegetables


snack of
a hard boiled egg, 1/2 a banana and more veggies











munching today on veggies and walnuts while shopping








Dinner was
3oz of roast pork, 1/3 cup of peas and 1/2  cup of cherries





bed time snack
flax seed bun with ham also a chunk of cheddar .
Calories for the day 1597. carbs 116 g , protein 102g.
I ate about every two hours today and my blood sugar stayed pretty level all day. :)

March 1st

We got about 2 inches of snow last night. I am soooooo very very ready for spring.

 Today is March 1st , Spring will be here before we know it ,, ( I 'm excited :)  )


I realized this morning my batteries in my camera are low ( must shop soon ) so the quality of the pictures is worse than usual .


Great way to start the day
I have been 170 for about the last 3 weeks, I am starting to get a bit frustrated.

So it is time to reevaluate my food and crack down on my calories




Breakfast was ; an egg, 2 slices of turkey bacon on a homemade flax seed bun

The last of the homemade veggie soup with lamb, quinoa and lentils    also blueberries in greek yogurt, a banana, carrots, an  hard boiled egg , an apple , cheddar cheese and some walnuts .

Dinner was 2 eggs, 2 slices of bacon and about ( nope I did not measure it ) 3 ozs of cheddar cheese ( I really need to go grocery shopping )and some cherries .

Back to work today , I was successful and did get my taxes done yesterday ,,, all but writing the checks ( not pleased when I owe them )

So more food pictures. Thank you Stacy at     The Skinny on Staci             for my inspiration for taking food pictures :) 


These pictures are as I was packing my cooler to go to work. I dont call it a lunch box because it involves much more than lunch.


this picture is ( starting at the top and going clockwise)  blueberries and greek yogurt for my morning break,, the mug is homemade veggie soup with ground lamb,quinoa and lentils for lunch , next is free veggies for munching,, then an egg and banana for my snack when I leave work and the snack bag has and apple ( cut up ) and a slice of cheddar for my afternoon break
after taking this picutre I relized I needed more carbs for lunch and added
peaches (to go with the soup at lunch) for a bit more carbs and then some walnuts for munching during the day .



Breakfast was , left over corned beef hash ,,( made with rutabaga,carrots ,onion,zucchini ,yellow squash,corned beef,,) an egg and an orange

Dinner was very similar to breakfast,
Useing up the left over rutabaga I made rutabaga hash browns with peppers and onions. 3 strips of turkey bacon and 2 eggs
No picture of dinner ,,the picture I took   did not turn out well :(
Todays totals :
calories 1692 , carbs 179, protien82
a bit higher in calories  than I would like ,,, have to work on that  :)



As you can tell I am a grazer . My preference would be to eat all day long. Which is ok as long as it is just a little bit here and there ,, not major meals all day long.

I have always had trouble with my blood sugar levels dropping to very low levels ,, recently I have been diagnosed with reactive  hypoglycemia and am trying to learn how to eat all day long to control my hypoglycemia but still lose the excess 20 pounds I am still carrying around .
